Description

Explore Rwanda Butare Bagaragaza (micro lot)

Rwanda Butare Bagaragaza is a vibrant, expressive anaerobic natural micro lot from Nyamasheke, West Rwanda. Grown at 1540 masl on a two hectare farm owned by Bagaragaza Deo, this coffee reflects both heritage and intention. Having cultivated the land since 2006, Bagaragaza has dedicated himself to refining his craft, earning recognition for his agricultural practices and producing coffees that consistently stand among the region’s finest.

Carefully processed using anaerobic natural methods and dried on raised beds, this lot develops a deep fruit forward complexity while maintaining clarity and structure in the cup.

In the cup, it opens with an intense burst of strawberry and raspberry, layered with rich pomegranate sweetness. As it evolves, bright pineapple acidity lifts the profile, creating a dynamic balance between juiciness and vibrancy. The finish is saturated, expressive, and lingering with a refined sweetness that holds from first sip to last.

For pour over brewing, this coffee delivers striking clarity and a sparkling fruit forward profile. As espresso, it becomes dense and syrupy, amplifying its red fruit intensity. In a French press, the body rounds out, bringing forward a jammy richness and balanced sweetness.

This release from Bodega Reserva celebrates two years of intention, community, and craft. A coffee chosen to mark the moment, bold, expressive, and a reflection of how far we have come and where we are going.
